My Ventures

A portfolio of my education, projects and skill set.

The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.

Education

Surprisingly most of my learning came from outside the classroom. From leading student groups, to learning photography and graphic design on the side. To presenting elevator pitches to mock investors, while attending school full time and holding down a part time job. My degree from Texas Tech is more than just a piece of paper. It’s the experiences, knowledge, soft and critical thinking skills I developed over years of coursework.

My first venture in Atlas Apparel was quite quixotic. The goal of Atlas Apparel was to be part lifestyle fashion brand, part urban farming startup.

I was never really able to get the startup off the ground. Nonetheless the failure of Atlas Apparel didn’t matter to me. Learning from that failure is what is most important.

Failure is apart of the process. As many have said; “You will fail your way to success.”

As I progressed through my degree program I wanted to really stretch my skill set. So I settled on a cyberpunk theme to incorporate into my Atlas Apparel pitch submissions.

With the rise of AI, unchecked technological corporate power and widespread digital adoption and advancement. One can easily dub this album and the fashion it inspired, as ‘the cyberpunk collection’.

All scouting, shooting and editing of these photos was primarily done by yours truly.

With a minor in landscape studies and the dream of bringing to fruition a world more in tune and in balance with nature.

Here are a few examples of some landscape sketches I’ve done. My hope is to continue to add more to my collection as the years go by.

Shortly after starting classes at Texas State I joined a work study program working as a carpenter on campus.

Once learning the joy of crafting something with my hands I knew I wanted to pursue something similar that would put my tactile skills to use at Texas Tech.

Having an obsession with landscapes, natural systems and architecture. I had a chance while at Texas Tech to build models of my class projects.

The project featured below was an elevated courtyard concept with adjacent garden beds providing shade trees and rain water retention.
